The software

Redrule is free software under the MIT License. It is provided as is, without warranty of any kind. To the extent the law allows, its authors are not liable for any loss or damage that comes from using it. The full license is in the LICENSE file that comes with the source code.

Recording and consent

You are responsible for following the recording laws that apply to you and to everyone on the call. Many places require consent from every participant before a call is recorded. These include California, Illinois and several EU countries. Tell people you are recording, and get their consent where it is required.

AI providers

If you write notes with ChatGPT, Grok, or your own OpenAI, Anthropic, Google Gemini or OpenAI-compatible API key, that provider's terms apply to your use of it. Any charges on your API key are yours. The ChatGPT and Grok sign-ins reuse the official command-line tools' sign-in, and they can stop working if the providers change it.

Shared links

• Share only what you have the right to share. Do not use shared links for illegal content, malware, harassment, or other people's personal information without their permission.
• Shared content may be removed, and access to sharing may be limited or ended, at any time. This includes content reported as breaking these terms.
• The sharing service has no guarantee of availability. Keep your own copy of anything important. Your meetings stay on your Mac either way.

Transcripts and notes

Transcripts, notes and answers are generated automatically and can be wrong. Check them before you rely on them.
